Problems with SC exe immediately going to 'listen'

Post by ian »

Creating SC's - please can anyone help. I'm using a 'template' helpdesk.txt and modifying only the connection line. Then I do the ZIP and create an exe using the SC creator. Sometimes they work ...sometimes they open, flash something up and then go and 'listen' in the tray instead of offering up the window to connect. It seems to be a hit and miss process. Any suggestions? Many Thanks - Ian
Should I just be 'moving on' to PCHelper'?

I've recently had the same problem. We have various support PC's using SC with great results but the last two will not work WAN or LAN.It says on client that its connected, but only informs person on support when connection is terminated.
PCHelpware is not an option as it does not properly allow choice of listening port eg.5507,5508

Any help appreciated

ian,

vncviewer must listen before sc start
Start... Run
"%programfiles%\UltraVNC\vncviewer.exe" -listen 5507
create a shortcut "viewer listen 5507" for won't lost time.

zebs,

you are allowed to change the default listen port of pchelpware_viewer only by Graphic User Interface (command line not available)
but you need to change first the default port of your pchelpware_server
