I can see but I can't touch

Post by tom_oftheplains »

Hey, all. I just installed VNC and Single Click on my network. When I have a user download everything they need, they connect, I'm on in listening mode, and we connect with no problem. I see their display on my computer.

I can move the mouse, see their display, but I can't manipulate anything. The mouse clicking has no effect, and my settings are, as far as I can tell, configured to allow me to take over control of their mouse, keyboard, etc. Any ideas? Your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I don't have any idea what could be causing that, but we have many SC users who should be able to help.

As an alternative, have you considered trying PcHelpWare? It is the newest version of single click and will replace SC in a 6-12 months so if you're just getting started it may be better to get PcHelpWare up and running instead. There is a [topic=9663]"Zero Configuration" PcHelpWare_viewer Setup[/topic] post to help get it set up quickly. Some users have mentioned that the repeater provides a slower connection than a direct connection, but it's a good place to start.
