unknown error : repeater mode : viewer

Post by Sleaper »

Hi all,

I have my own repeater running and everything seems to be set up however when I try to connect a server, i open the viewer - the computer connects and then disconnects just as quickly and an error on the server status box reads:

Recieve password
password failed
we stop the connection
INIT network failed

I do not have a password in the viewer box on when I start that up. Does anyone know what could be wrong.

Two things that I've seen:
1. The viewer only saves a password that is 7 characters or less.
2. Even if the password is 7 characters or less, I always need to reenter it if I use the viewer on a different machine. The first time I load the PHW-file on the new machine, I reenter the password and resave the PHW-file. Seems to work fine after that.

Thank you.

Seems the password was not being saved and thus no password was being entered when I loaded my PHW file.

Thanks very much and have a great EASTER.
