Failed to connect

Post by leetuaan »

I need help. My PCHelpWare works well in LAN. But when I try a connection via repeater, I always have the message erreur: Failed to connect. I have turned off the firewall. I tried the host repeater uvnc.com with the port viewer 5901 and server 5500.

- When I click at the button test, I have the message:
Repeater test
Failed to connect to viewer port
Failed to connect to server port.

- When I run the repeater, I have:
Repeater for Rel1.0.0 of PcHelpware
socket() initialized
bind() succeded to port 5901
listen() succeded
socket() initialized
bind() succeded to port 5500
socket() initialized
bind() succeded to port 443
socket() initialized
bind() succeded to port 5912
listen() succeded
listen() succeded
listen() succeded

So where is the problem?

Someone can help me please.

The repeater may need to be restarted. Are you using repeater01? If so, PM Bevtech so he can restart it. If it's your own, try restarting it.

Log into DynDNS and check to see if the hostname matches your current public IP. After logging in click My Services then Dynamic DNS. The public IP associated with your hostname is listed as the IP in Database/DNS while your current public IP address is listed as the New IP Address. You can force it to be updated by clicking the Modify Host button.

Looks like the two ports are blocked.
Do you have a router/proxy for Internet Connection? Some ISP / LAN Admin. may block unnecessary port (they considered) for security purpose.

You must know which port is available before proceed.
