Password dialog box optional

Post by eo »

Could you put a switch to turn off the password dialog box. We've setup the server so that the user doesnt need to fill in the password box, but the box still shows, it just un-editable. It confuses the end-user, since they think they have to put something in that box.

Then we can just modify the background image so it only asks for Username or Session ID.

Thanks!!!

Why not just configure a direct connection and create the exe. You might have to edit the helpdesk.txt manually but it will eliminate the need for the user to be confused

Because we need the user to enter a session id to proxy thru the repeater since there are multiple people supporting end-users.

We also dont want each support engineer to have their own custom viewer.

The system works great now, except with the users wanting to put a password in when one is not needed.

I suppose we could make them put a password end, but that has its issues too.

Again -- Just trying to make the solution be as SIMPLE as possible for the end-user to use.

well the direct connection for each individual ID creating the self extracting exe really should do the trick.

I would create each one for each ID with direct connection and just create links for each ID so that the end user can pick and download the link that you instructed to hit on.

How many ID's are you using??
