Hi,
I use VNC to help friends using their computer.
So both of us need to move mouse cursor.
But on server, moves are not smooth:
cursor sometimes jump 100 pixels on a little move,
my friend can then difficultly select things.
Luckily, the problem is solved when using "Video hook driver" mode. But this mode should not be used with slow connections.
Is it a normal behaviour, or is there any setting I could change ?
I faced the same problem with TightVNC, but only in full screen mode.
I use RC 11d, server: W2K, client: XP
Thanks for your help.

Mouse cursor doesn't move smoothly on server
Enable local cursor tracking
On slower connections, I sometimes find it less distracting to let the mouse pointer be drawn locally, instead of letting "the remote server deal with it".
Occasionally, though, depending on what kinds of fancy things are going on with the pointer shape, this can be problematic, in which case I let the server draw it for accuracy, but use the local "dot" cursor for initial positioning.

Pointer positioning
TightVNC has a pseudo-encoding for sending server cursor position to the client. This way it's possible to move the cursor at the server and make the cursor at client follow the movement.
Does UltraVNC have anything like this?
Any plans on including this?
