I'm trying the web interface of UltraVNC.
I can connect to it, load the applet.... but then I cannot see anything.
It show the Java logo, and after a while it let a blank page (not a normal blank page... it has vertical and horizontal scrollbars because it is a larger and higher blank page).
What problem could be?
It can depend from my network situation?
The server is behind NAT (with the right port opened) and the client (here's the problem) is behind a Corporate Office NAT and has incoiming and outcoming connections blocked.
I can only surf the net..... only the 80 port is opened (even if I can reach my server on the standard 5800 port).
Have you idea if I can use the web applet?
Thank You!

Re: HTTP Service behind NAT
Check the download area, there exist a winvnc1P.exe
The problem is the vnc server use 2 ports, 1 for java and 1 for rfb
The 1P version does both on a single interface.
This was included with 1.00 and 1.01, don't know for 1.02.

Re: HTTP Service behind NAT
I downloaded and installed it....
But it seems to not work..... now it, at least, ask me to install the applet... but it doesn't load anything anyway....
This winvnc variant work on the HTTP port I specify? (both with incoming and outcoming connection)
Because I have the 5800 port for web interface and, maybe, it can go out, but it can't come back because here, behind the NAT, the 5800 port is blocked.
What do you think about it?
Is there a way to tell winvnc to receive connection on the port 5800 and send back data on the port 80?
Thank you

Re: HTTP Service behind NAT
Hi all,
I'm also a new user to UltraVNC. I have to say that I think it's a great program to use. Once you've known how to use it offcourse...
About your problem, I've experienced the same. I have VNC Server setup with encrypted transmission. So it's harder to see what I'm sending over the net. But when I connect to the server by Java, I also get a white blank screen. When I turn-off the encryption, I can log-in to my server and use it. Once I've turned the encryption back on, I again cannot connect properly to the server. So, I guess, that this is the problem and I don't know how to solve it. I still want to use encryption rather than leave it a-side.
If anyone has an idea or sollution for our problem, please let us know!!!!!
Thanks.
