Vncviewer binary download fails with SC, Repeater and DSM

Post by edwardotis »

Hi,

If I install vncviewer 1.02 using setup, I can correctly connect using SC, Repeater and DSM. However, I downloaded the 1.02 binaries, and then copied the rc4key and *.dsm's in the binary directory with vncviewer. I also ran the noreg.dsm version. I also recreated the SC .exe with a freshly generated key from the binary download.

When I run the vncviewer this way, it just hangs on status: Negotiate Protocol Version. No error message, and it's been hung for 20 minutes now. The repeater correctly displays the server and viewer connecting.

It's important for the binary download to work because that means I can use the SC from an internet cafe.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ed

try the beta versions of the mscr4
http://msrc4plugin.home.comcast.net/msrc4plugin.html
MSRC4Plugin 1.2.2 has been released as production. This corrects the issues with 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 not working on Windows 2000. Please upgrade all 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 installations to 1.2.2.
also make sure that you use the same plugin versions on both sides of the connection or it will not work at ll..;)
