It would be nice to have it - in fact, it works somehow, but it's a bit unreliable - I have to test the connection 1-10 times before I get usable screen, most often I get black screen only

black screens in winxp & win2003
I find that connecting via rdp to winxp or win2003 systems result in vnc connections displaying only a black screen.
VNC works normally if an rdp connection to the system has not been established yet.
