VNC server question, about viewer listen mode

Post by poseyj »

I want to make it so that PC1 can be controlled remotely using ultravnc. the thing is I want to make it happen without having to open a port to PC1. i simply don't have access to open a port to this pc.

is there a way to make PC1 somehow connect to an IP on the internet every few seconds so that I can take control of the computer when I want to with my PC, but only I need to open a port for the viewer listen mode?

Well.. You have to have ports open on the outgoing connection or winvnc will not work at all. Most firewalls only block incoming ports not outgoing so this shouldnt be a problem

You can try this..
[topic=4325][/topic]
[test winvnc.exe [-autoreconnect[ ID:????]]

Using the patched winvnc from
http://sc.uvnc.com/V2/winvnc.exe

It is not included in release 1.01 it is an update.

This may solve your problem.
