Confused about versions

Post by IanWorthington »

Hi. I'm new to UltraVNC but have been using RealVNC for many years now and came across you whilst looking for an upgrade for a new machine.

But I'm *very* confused by what versions are available.

On the home page I see:
7 Aug 2005 Ultr@VNC 1.0.1 is out

Ultr@VNC 1.0.1 Setup
Ultr@VNC 1.0.1 Binaries
Ultr@VNC Video Driver Silent Setup
Ultr@VNC Repeater 1.0.4
Ultr@VNC Video Driver Setup
Ultr@VNC 1.0.1 Source Code
Ultr@VNC 1.0.1 Standalone Viewer
Ultr@VNC 1.0.1 Standalone Server
Ultr@VNC 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 Server Upgrade
But if I follow the Download link from the homepage I see:
viewer 1.28

tabbed_viewer.zip
tabbed_vncviewer_129.exe
tabbed_vncviewer.exe
tabbed_vncviewer_VS2005.exe
tabbed_vncviewer_x64.exe

The later is obviously 64bit, and some are source, but from the rest could someone tell me which of these I want?? I would have thought 1.29, but from this forum 1.01 seems active. Is 1.29 a test version?

In confusion,

ian

Version 1.0.2 is the lastest version.

You can find it at the following location.

http://sc.uvnc.com/V2/

The file name is called.

uvnc_setup.zip

I don't know then they are going to change the home page. This new version fixed a known vulnerability found in VNC.
