Saving Multiple Viewer Configurations

Post by Curious »

Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find the answer in the search function. I was wondering if there was a way to save settings for different computers for the viewer. I was able to save a configuration for one of my computers, but I don't remember how I did it and I now want to save it for another computer that is on my home network. I would like to be able to use a desktop icon for a short cut. Sorry if the answer is really simple and thanks for the help.

By the way, is it possible that when the configuration is saved, for one to save the different rc4 keys for each configuration?

I was thinking the same thing, I have a couple of local machines I connect to, and one over a slow IP connection, so would ideally like to be able to connect using different colour settings, etc.

Well, I had something very curious happening. On my desktop computer, the viewer program saves every single connection configuration (at least the address I'm trying to connect to) I try to make (even if it is an error) and I can't delete any entry. All I do is push the down arrow to the right of the address bar. My laptop doesn't save anything. I have to manually type in everything. I wish I knew how I was able to save the configuration to a .vnc file. Anyone with any thoughts? Thanks.

Found the answer using a Google search.

When you connect to your remote computer with the configuration settings you want, then use Ctrl+Alt+F5 to create the connection VNC file.

Now how do you delete the connection history? Is there a configuration file I can delete?
