I have kind of the same problem with SC.
I want to build an SC that does not use *.key file, but a password-derived key.
In order to do that I have to use MSRC4 1.1.9.8 plugin. Nor AES not ARC work with SC, while they do with standard WinVNC.

SC works fine with MSRC4 1.1.9.8 plugin when the supported user is running XP. However, it shows an "Invalid protocol" error on the supporter side when the client is W2000.

SingleClick and Ultra vncviewer can only use encryption dsmplugin with rc4.key or arc4.key or aesv2.key
(is not possible without key because there no exchange of password)
(not possible reverse connection from server SC to viewer without key file)

UltraVNC Server (winvnc) and UltraVNC Viewer can use encryption dsmplugin without rc4.key or arc4.key or aesv2.key
(Possible use without key because there exchange of password available direct connection viewer to server
(actually, not possible reverse connection from server to viewer without secure key file)
