Query on security and transfering files

Post by kirkzeus »

Hi all

Just a question I would like confirmed. If I should use encryption, either by using the plug-in or by using SSH (e.g. via PuTTY on the client), does the file transfer traffic get encrypted as well the normal viewer session? I am using port 5800.

Many thanks

I asked that question to the dev. about a year ago and they told me that when using the MSRC4 plugin all data transmission is encypted as soon as you logon. (as long as the plugin is active and installed properly) I am not sure about SSH tough..:)

filetransfer and vnc data use the same port.
Using ssh or the plugin ALL data is encrypted.
