What EXACTLY is SCIII?
What EXACTLY is SCIII?
Ok I have been on the forum for over a year now. I have seen several post on something called "SCII" but no one has ever explained what it is. Usually the post describe some feature that will be in it or something that will make it better then ?regular? SC. But no one has started from the begining with and explanation of what this thing does and what its advantages are beyond "regular" SC
What EXACTLY is SCIII?
I have the same basic problem to understand the function of SCIII.
Can anyone explain it from the beginning ?
What do I need to setup ?
It seems to be a good tool for support, but no comlete documentation can be found. An exemple would be good to understand.
Like to get a connection from Home-PC to Office-PC - what to do ?
Home-PC
Router
Internet
Router
Office-PC
Thanks in advance

SCIII is beta so that is why documentation is limited.
SC III is similar to SC except SCIII uses Port 443 and SSL for encryption..

you need the use the sslviewer
The repeater II folder contains the certificate.pem need for the repeater to function.
Under the Single Click forum you will find Step by Step by Dwalf that give users a very good idea how to create a single click.exe
also a little documentation for single click on the online documentation

Ack... I feel like a kid in a candy store!! =) There are SO many cool projects that are discussed in this forum, but at the same time it's so hard to find exactly where everything is... How come repeater II is required for SCIII? Shouldn't it be called repeater III?bevtech wrote:SC III is similar to SC except SCIII uses Port 443 and SSL for encryption..

What would be awesome is to have a single install / zipfile for each seperate, non-compatible version of each codebase, which contains all parts necessary (viewer, server, repeater, SC, encryption plugins). I want to test all of these projects out, but it's so hard to find out where everything is, let alone what versions work with what apps/projects.
IANAP (I am not a programmer) but I am a network/sysadmin and I'll do anything I can to help/organize/whatever. =)
