1. what the speed of your Internet connection betwen you and partner ?
mean upstream bandwith from the vnc server to you ?

2. hextile encoder is good only over LAN or 2 MBit/s WAN Internet (need 1MBit/s data bandwith for hextile encoder)

3. you can select lower level of colors for improve speed.

Speed it up - use 8bit mode

Post by infitom »

When you launch the listener, use the "-8bit" command line option--

vncviewer.exe -8bit -listen 5500 . . . .

i'm sorry
Can you please be more specific. the server itself in listen mode, there is no additional config on it.

Thanks

My I ask what Operating System is running on the SC. ( server) pc's?? I have had really good luck with SC but only in Broadband environments. DSL , Cable etc.

Keep in mind that eventhough you are in broadband doesnt mean the remote is. I havent had very much luck with modem access (56k) internet (SC) servers. They just hang..

Both server sc as well as client are xp with sp 2 no firewall enable.

lolik,
Well that is interesting. Xp SP2. no firewall the only thing left maybe the connection between the viewer and the server. Is it stable??

Only thought I can come up with..:D
