VNC/VPN problems
VNC/VPN problems
How do I establish a VNC connection over a VPN. The VPN is connected, but when I try to establish a VNC connection in either direction, I get the message "failed to connect to server". HELP???
Re: VNC/VPN problems
Can you ping the name or IP address of the computer(s) you are trying to connect to?chellea wrote:How do I establish a VNC connection over a VPN. The VPN is connected, but when I try to establish a VNC connection in either direction, I get the message "failed to connect to server". HELP???
One thing I've seen happen several times is that each end of a VPN may actually be on the same subnet. For example, you home computer may be 192.168.1.100 and the remote server may be 192.168.1.1, so your home computer thinks the server is on the same network. Is this applicable in your case?
