start VNCviewer with "listen mode" toggled to &quo

Post by Luke H »

Hello, greetings

I am wondering if there is a command-line option to start the VNCviewer with the "listen mode" toggled OFF. I like to have the Viewer running in the tray and ready to accept SC connection (when I am ready) but I do not want to leave this port open all the time and I do not want my SC clients (I have given out my customized SC app to many people) to be able to request assistance at any time -- I want them to call me first and then I will turn on listen mode from the tray icon.

Is this possible? thanks :-]

It is now... download it below...

http://www.advantig.com/files/vncviewer101a5.zip

vncviewer.exe -toggle -listen

Includes the -noflash mod as well as the vc6 source (267k).

As usual, use at your own risk etc... files are removed after approximately 30 days.

thank you Phil! that works great,
I hope they integrate this option with the 'standard' VNC project

Let me know if you notice any speed increase (if you use the pre-compiled exe in the zip file), it was optimized a bit differently than the stock viewer and should be faster. I don't use the Ultravnc viewer (it's not compatible with DualDesk) so I don't have a good base of reference.
