Hey guys,
Need some help. I work as a Systems Engineer and currently talk my customers through doing a reverse VNC to my Machine.
How can I create an executable that will automatically install a temporary version of VNC, create a reverse connection back to myself and then remove the VNC files from their machine when I disconnect.
It would make it a lot easier than talking them through it as I can then get them to download the executable and it does the rest for them.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Create Reverse VNC Executable
Sounds like SC.
Sounds like your talking about SC. You can email them this EXE or just have them run it off a web site.

xml:
Never used it, unless for adobe framemaker when you have a 4 pages
nested configuration file.
xml is overkill and even more complicate for most of the users then the content of the helpdesk.txt.
For framemaker, only the xml library is bigger then the SC
For the standard version, xml does not allow security based on value.
With acl's you only can block or allow writing for all.
fontend:
If there wasn't a frontend , people would ask to add it.
We already added the [DIRECT] option, so users don't have to click anything.
Same for the systray icon, some people want it, other don't want it.
Some people want it run completely stealth...
We can not fullfill the wishes of everybody

I don't know what you mean with acl's. But isn't there another solution in stead of using the registry?
A ini-file could be good too... You could also encrypt some values if you really want to.
I have no problem with the registry but is more difficult to deploy to endusers. I've created an own package that starts winvnc automatically and connects to our listener, but before I do that must import a registry file to disable some settings (like incoming connections) and to set the password.
PS: Prachtig programma UVNC, je zou misschien denken van de vele opmerkingen dat het niet goed is, maar het is echt super!!
Cheers,
Vincent
