VNC server is blocked after an interrupted file transfer

Post by cmonjaret »

Hi all,
I am currently using UltraVNC v.1.0.1 on WinXP to take the control of another PC (also on WinXP) over a RTC connection (RAS connection).
During a file transfer, if the RTC connexion is accidentally closed, the reconnection is not possible because the VNC server remains blocked in an infinite loop.
The only work around I found is to kill the winvnc process (with the task manager) and to restart the server; but this needs someone to do the manip on the remote host !
We have seen that this problem do not appears during a LAN connexion, but only during a RTC connexion.

Is it a bug ?

Christophe.

I have ran into this myself last night and again tonight. No way to get to server remotely. On the way to work to reset server.

oops, mine is not RAS, but tcp/ip.

latest release. start a file transfer and it _may_ go into a loop that must be reset at the server pc. no way to get back onto machine if caught in this loop.
