UltraVNC with ZoneAlarm Problem

Ok,

So I installed UltraVNC 1.0.1 and the video driver 1.0.0. Then configured the port forwarding on my router. Allow the winvnc program to connect/receive internet connections through my firewall (zonealarm). I run winvnc as a service. Now the problem is on restart I cannot connect to the server with the viewer. I have the similar problem as suggest on this [topic=3859]thread[/topic].

I did a search on google and somebody mentioned that possible cause could be that winvnc service starts to run before zonealarm starts. I confirmed this by shutting down the winvnc service and restarted it while zonealarm is running. Now they connect just fine.

Do anyone have fix for this, so I don't have to shutdown and restart service evertime I reboot my computer?

I also have the same problem with zonealarm. I tried to downgrade to RC18, and then the service seems work fine when winXP boot.
After few days, the problem happened again. Now I still have to restart the UltraVNC after WinXP boot, or I can't connect to my PC.

I had the same prob. Install VNC as a service and go to Zonealarm, Firewall-Settings. Lower the setting for Internetzone from High to Mid. If you use a router, you can activate it's internal firewall too. This worked for me. I use UltraVNC 1.0.1 and ZA 6.0.667.000.
