MSRC4 1.1.8 - Bluescreen

Hi all!

Yesterday I installed ULTRVNC 1.0.1 with MSRC4 1.1.8 (NoReg) on a Win2000 SP4 Server.

It works very fine, the driver and the encryption are very quick.

But when I'm connected to the Server over an VNC-connection and simply uncheck the DSM-Plugin in the general settings tab, or click on configure the viewer disconnects (before pressing the apply or ok button), because the server ended up in a bluescreen, makes a memory dump, reboots and so on...

This is very unfine!

I think Ares described the same effect in another post (MSRC4 DSM Plugin SLOW...?)

Has anyone an idea why this happens?

When I connect to the server via RDP (Terminal Server) and uncheck the plugin, it will not crash.

So it's only when I'm using the encrypted VNC connection and manipulating the encryption settings (even before pressing the apply button).

Daffi,

Sounds to me like an Ultra bug. Ultra is not supposed to change DSM plugin settings immediately, but store the settings and use them the next time the service is restarted. Post this in the Bugs Rel1.00 forum and see if you get an answer.
