UVNC on Windows Server 2022

Post by sman4k »

Hi,

I installed the latest uvnc version on a Win Svr 2022 and cant connect to it. I get rejected.
It can save new passwords in the ini-file, I read that could be a cause if no save permission.

I have switched off the firewall.

When I try from another pc it at times rejects without asking for a password, but if i then try locally it asks for a pass.
It will reject, but it atleast it asks.

Sometimes it asks for a pass on the remote pc also, but always rejects it, no matter what I type.

I have UVNC on like 50 pc and servers, works good but for this new Svr 2022 it seems to be some problems.

Is there some minimum lenghth password restriction?

TIA!

The ultravnc.ini file is portable.
As fast test you can overwrite the ultravnc.ini with a copy of a working pc.
Or
You can copy winvnc.exe to a temp folder and see if you start it manual a new ultravnc.ini is written in that temp folder.
The you can overwite the (program files/ultravnc bvba/ultravnc/ultravnc.ini) with the one from the temp folder.
