Windows Terminal Server Sessions

Post by cowlCape »

Hello,

the connection with Windows terminal servers doesn't work, or - to be more precise - I can connect with UVNC, I get to the "blue screen" where I can choose the session, but right after choosing the connection drops.

I can see that on the WTS the UVNC is starting, you can see the eye in taskbar.

On client I'm using UltraVNC in version 1.2.2.4 with the DSM Plugin for encryption.
Server: Windows Server 2016, Version 1607, Build 14393.3443

I even tried other VNC-flavour - TightVNC - there you can only connect with the console session and you can login. On the other hand with UltraVNC the connection drops right after logging in, I assume it has something to do with the video-processing (?).

This bug/error is really unfortunate because it worked until mid-October...
Could also be another Windows-"PATCH" that's causing all this fuss...

I appreciate any feedback or help, thank you!

I bet a Windows update reverted some settings or something to that extent. Did you check?
