I recently installed a Windows 2016 server and installed 1.2.2.3 UVNC for communications. Connecting from a laptop and multiple desktops, with OS 7, 8.1, & 10, it allows me to connect without issue and I can work inside the operating system using explorer and some programs. Whenever I open AVG Anti-Virus or Firefox, there may be others but these are all I've tested, the viewer completely locks up and will not allow me to do anything in any program. If I disconnect and reconnect it still is locked. If I go to the server I can operate the desktop as normal so the desktop is not locked. I updated the software on each of the client machines so that they were at 1.2.2.3.
Additionally, I have tried connecting to a Windows 7 & 8.1 machines and it acts the same way so apparently it is not the OS. I also disabled the hook files just in case there was an issue there. I'm at a loss.
If I'm missing something obvious please feel free to correct me and any help is greatly appreciated.

I guess you started winvnc.exe as administrator or another user.
OS UAC protection. (win7>)
As soon as you start a "system app" input get locked by UAC protection.
winvnc.exe must be started with runas admin or as service
winvnc started as a normal admin is not elevated and can't inject keypresses in elevated apps.
