I believe i've found a bug in latest stable release. Server is running under win10-home-x64(1709), as service, with everything as per default, except adding a password and setting the option for querying incoming-connections. I've tested two different viewers under linux, and they both got disconnected from the server whenever triggering an UAC prompt. So, even though running as a service, then elevated access isn't supported when enabling querying of new incoming connections.
Edit: I mean completely disconnected(connection drops fully), not just like when run in application mode where you get control back when remote-user select OK to the UAC prompt.

Re: v1.2.1.7 bug - Querying incoming connections.
uvnc need restart himself in the secure desktop.
service stop uvnc in de user dekstop
service start uvnc in de auc desktop
Pressing a UAC is like switching a user, MS isolated the UAC [ok], from the user desktop
Using the uvnc windows viewer, this happen in the background. The viewer is aware of the restart and used cached session.
Another viewer get disconnected.
Indeed, i wonder what happen when you need user permission to connect.
The UAC behavior is implemented this way to support Vista, a long time ago.

Thanks for reply!
Sorry, I just want to make sure that we're on the same page here. I fully understand what you're saying with the UAC, and the UAC works fine also when using linux viewers, though it's ONLY an issue when enabling querying new connection(can't remember name sorry, not on windows now). Without that setting, the connect/disconnect/cache works fine on linux. Sorry I haven't tested if this is solely a linux issue or also on ultravnc viewer. Sorry if you already said this
Edit: Ahhh, so the connect/reconnect is obviously interferred because of the connection-querying setting, as needs confirmation again for this.... Sorry I didn't catched that at first and now I better understood your reply Thanks again!
