Connecting from outside my network...

Post by jj77669 »

This is actually a two part question. I think UVNC is great and super easy to use on my home network, behind my router. The problem arises when I try to connect from elsewhere. I have been using UVNC for only a few days. I have to monitor seven PC's at home (all Win10) and really appreciate being able to remote in to each using your software. My issues come is two forms:

1. As I said, connecting to each PC behind my router is no issue, easy peasy. This problem is connecting away from home. I cannot find a reliable standard guide for this anywhere. I have tried opening ports (port forwarding and port triggering) to no avail. I can't find an answer to a simple question such as, "it says to open a port, but which one? the main or http? What's the http one for?" If I could get a concise walkthrough for connecting from outside your network, that would be a god-send.

2. And secondly, I was surprised to see there is no uVNC mobile app. There are a bunch of VNC apps for android but I don't know which one to choose and was hoping for an "official" recommendation.

Thanks in advance for your help guys.
