Deploying UltraVNC with the DSM plugin

Post by sbostedor »

Ok, it's finally completed (at least to the stable beta stage) ... deploying the UltraVNC server with the DSM encryption plugin.

I need some beta testers that are familliar with how the plugin works. I've tested it pretty good on a few of my networks but I'd like to see how well it performs on a variety of networks before calling it a complete success.

How it works:

Basically, you just create a deployment profile featuring UltraVNC, fill in the usual options, and then checking the box to use the DSM plugin. The deployment wizard does the work of writing the remote registry entries to enable the noreg plugin and distributing the rc4.key.

I've generated a default rc4.key and most people in closed networks can probably get away without generating one themselves and just using the one that vncscan distributes by default. If you want to roll your own rc4.key, just put it in the c:\fastpush\vnc7\ultra folder and create a spam new profile, then deploy it to the remote computers.

If you'd like to beta test this, please send an email to sbostedor@vncscan.com and I'll get you a link.

Thank you!
