Are there 9x platform issues with beta dsms?

Post by 2manyhats »

Has anyone experienced any issues when running win98 machines with ARC4 and AesV2001 dsm's. If I have rel 20.5 running on a win 98 machine using either the ARC4plugin002 or AesV2plugin001 dsm's I can connect from a 98 box to an XP, 2000 or another 98 machine but not the other way around. If I disable the plugins then all the machines are happy. Any ideas. XP and 2000 machines have had no problems among each other with the above plugins.

I am not aware of any issues! I'll take a look. I don't think I tested all the Windows versions though. I guess that's why they are still BETA.

ok, here is what I tested...

UltraVNC 1.0! WooHoo!

AESv2 002
ARC 002

Win95B, Win98, Win98SE

I tested all the combinations of viewers/servers/plugins. They all worked!

So, I noticed you were trying between XP and 98, so I tried 95/98/9SE as the server, and XP as the client...That worked too.

Well, without beating a dead horse the problem that I experienced has been resolved in version 1.0. The version I was testing was rc 20.5. Thanks for looking into the matter.
