Sorry, I'm not able to confirm working:

repeater.exe is obviously reading no configuration, doesn't open any socket except port 80, which is also wrong because we configured another port for webinterface.
Checked with cports and tcpview. I changed EXE back to December 2015 -> everything is fine again.

EDIT: I noticed a new settings2.txt is written. Why this?????

EDIT2: I noticed the comment.txt is blown up to 1999 emtpy items. Possibly it doesn't matter, but Dec 2015 Version didn't blow up anything. Items just stopped where the last entry was made.

The problem is that the settings for the repeater are saved as bin, we just dump the vars to a file.
If the number of vars changed, the bin is not longer compatible.

To avoid that the new exe read a ununderstable old settings.txt, we changed it to settings2.txt

Update was fast needed to make sure people lock mode I..

Sorry, I did understand nearly nothing.

Does this mean I simply have to configure the settings again?
And the next time a new version with a new needed variable comes up I'm again not able to just change the EXE? Because compatibly to old settings is lost and you have to introduce settings3.txt?

Not very convenient, maybe it's time for a redesign of handling the settings But Ok, I just wondered because I found no documentation about settings2.txt.

Correct.

I'm planing a config file update, so it save as a real ini file. This also allow to change manual settings as the file wil be a readable text file and future changes wil not have an impact on the format.

CERN was pushing to make an update with closed mode I, this was a unplanned update...

THX for Info. We only use mode II, I is disabled. Therefore there's practically no need to update. I only wanted to help testing.
For the moment we'll stay with repeater2015, but please write here a short comment, if you have a repeater with consolidated configuration. I'd love to test it.
