Need some help with SC 2015

Post by AndreL »

Hi,

I created a SC support file from the site base on the "UltraVncSC update Feb 2015" with admin rights.

Globally worked fine on Windows 8.1 and 7.

But on some windows 7 starting the connection just brings a windows with "-Connect ..." text and an OK button but no connection to the viewer is started. Apparently the command is displayed but not executed.

Where/how to start the troubleshooting ?

I tried to disabled the Anti-virus without success (Avast).

Thanks,
André.

syntax error in helpdesk.txt file in the -connect line.

Best way to test.

Download 7zip from http://www.7-zip.org/
This allow you to extract the sc.exe ( this is a sfx archieve) in a folder
In this folder make changes to the helpdesk.txt and run winvnc.exe to test.

Thanks for the quick reply.

[HOST]
Support Newlex
-connect xxx.yyy.zz:5500 -noregistry

where xxx.yyy.zz is an alias (CNAME). Is that the issue ?

Andre.

a dns name is converted to an ip address, but then winvnc is already started.
when you see a popup on start it's a syntax error.

hidden chars ?
Erase line and add again

Else download custom.zip from http://www.uvnc.com/docs/uvnc-sc.html
and replace just the connect line ip with your hostname to test
