Hi all Like I have said I have a few Wifi Units and I need to connect to a desktop which is out of the wat in the attic and is used for my downloading and other stuff to do with my home media setup. My previous setup was a older type modem/router about 7 years old and only g wifi. So Iv got a Unit with N wifi now I no its only a 300kbps unit but was only cheap. Anyway when I put it in I had a bit of a job with the wired part in getting the PC to get internet connection But the WiFi was no problem at all. I ended up giving the wired PC a static IP as that was the only way to get it to connect to the net. After that I started with VNCand tried it from every wifi unit that I could but non would connect I then tried WiFi to WiFi and they all connected to each other finally i tried from the wired to the WiFi and that also connected no problem. So no I am stumped as to what to do or try.
A bit of info. The Modem Router is a Sitecom WLM2501 The Ethernet wired desktop PC is running Windows 7. The other laptops and Tablets that are used on the WiFi are running Windows 8, Windows 7, XP and android
Also the other thing I ment to say Is that the Wired PC acts as my media storage unit running Plex server and encoding\transcoding the media to play on RoKu units I have in the house to the TVs. So again there seams to be no problem with the Wired to WiFi route.
So any suggestions or help anyone can give me would be so help full and if its soon I might be left with some hair is cos im pulling it out here. And dont want to go back to the old G wifi as the new N one is much better and so far I have had non of the "Buffering" or "loading" messages

Thanks again Regards Osh
