Black Screen

Hi, I am new to Ultra. I installed the server on a remote server Win 2008 x86 and then I installed the viewer on my laptop Win 7 x64. I was able to connect but, I keep getting a black screen and with no icons and no start button at the bottom of the remote server. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.
