Toggle Remote Input/Monitor

Post by Teazle »

I've noticed something that kinda breaks this privacy function:

Using Win 7 Personal x64 on Viewer w/ UVNC x64 1.0.9.6.1 w/ SecureVNCPlugin 2.3.0.0
Using Win 7 Ultimate x64 on Server w/ UVNC x64 1.0.9.6.1 w/ SecureVNCPlugin 2.3.0.0 & Mirror Driver

With Mirror Driver activated, Disable Remote Input/Monitor shows blue UVNC eye across both viewer and server window - not intended.
With Mirror Driver deactivated, Disable Remote Input/Monitor shows blue UVNC eye only on viewer - as intended.

I'd like to be able to blank Server screen on request while having Mirror Driver active, have anyone else noticed this behaviour?

Also, any chance to have an option in connect to disable Server screen on login?

Unfortunately we don't get reports that this function always works; the mirror driver is a typical complication, but there are others. Personally I wouldn't trust it unless I saw first hand that it was working as intended (and even then it could fail at some point.) I use this caution even with the commercial programs; I act as if a remote user could see what I was doing.

As to your last question, I believe that feature's been requested before, but Rudi would have to answer about development.
