Problem with mouse

Post by sai361 »

Here's what I'm running:

Desktop - Win7 Ultimate x64. UltraVNC x64 v1.0.9.6.1

Laptop - Win7 Ultimate x86. UltraVNC x86 v1.0.9.6.1

Both PCs running on a simple LAN with router, and the NAT has been configured for port 5500.

My problem: When I use the UltraVNC viewer on my laptop to connect to my desktop I have no mouse control from the laptop on the virtual desktop but I can still interact with the viewers icons; chat, file transfer, etc.... However, the mouse on the desktop will work, even on the virtual desktop displayed on my laptop (hope that wasn't confusing) My keyboard does maintain full functionality.

Now, here's what's odd. When I connect from my desktop to my laptop everything works perfect. Full control.

I made sure the option to view only w/o interaction was disabled and as far as I can tell, all other settings are the same on both ends.

This happens whether I'm using an encrypted or unencrypted encryption.

Any thoughts?

There are a few "local cursor" settings you can play with. You might also try changing the appearance of the mouse cursor on the target system.

Is UltraVNC installed as a service on the desktop?
