UltraVNC 1.0.9.6.1 is always in read-only mode

Post by sandman42 »

Hi,

I've installed the 64 bit version on a Windows 2008 R2 server sdtandard ed. that runs as a virtual machine on a vmware vsphere 4.1 ESXi server using Administrative privileges.

It seems to be always in read only mode, i.e. I see the screen (a little slow update, but anyway no probs) but neither mouse, nor keyboard work.

I've tried setting up two different password, one for VNC password and one for VNC read only passwords, but the behavior is the same.

Any idea/help?

Ciao and thanks

There's a FAQ on this topic (I'm too lazy to fish it out at the moment but you can look in our FAQ section) but for a lot of us the "Keyboard and Mouse, Disable Viewers inputs" ends up checked on the Admin Properties on the server. You might want to make sure that's unchecked.
