vnc authentication password

Hello im new to this software but have followed the directions to install. everything went well but when i try to connect with the viewer the password box comes up but doesnt accept the password i put in the compiler and i never get remote access. ive tried about 5 times to create a different compiler with no success. the default ports in the repeater are 5901 and 443 (not 5500) is that an issue. I did the port check and everything seemed ok and i can see it connect in the repeater it just wont accept the password.. I do have win 7 64 bit ( not sure if thats a problem)... thanks in advance

Are you talking about ChunkVNC? You shouldn't get prompted for a password. Then again with ChunkVNC you shouldn't be initiating with the viewer either.

Please explain your setup a little more.

yes chunkvnc 3.3 not sure what you mean about initiating with the viewer. is that the chunkviewer because thats what im using to enter the id number then the vnc authenication box comes up and asks for a password so i type in the password1 for the password. very confusing. what should i use to connect to the server? the log file in the repeater sees the connection with no errors

Well, I was mistaken; the new version of ChunkVNC apparently does prompt for password. Please see supercoe's comments at viewtopic.php?t=28801

The 3.3 release is broken. The fix is being worked on as we speak, it will be available in a few hours.
