Some dialogs redesign

Post by OhMyGoat »

Maybe i'm just claustrophobic :o but I think that ultravnc dialogs and controls in dialog are a bit small for their content: what about giving them a bit more space  ?

Also I think that the option dialog is too big, it could be splitted in 2 different dialogs: one for connection-related settings (format and encoding) and another with advanced settings (display, misc, mouse buttons and mouse cursors).

I've posted a screenshot of how i've changed the dialogs on my site (http://scripters.altervista.org/screenshot.JPG) (the texts of the dialogs are in italian but they're not difficult to understand :p ). Maybe somebody will find those changes interesting :P

Keep up the good work! :-D

Have a nice day.

Do you also have the code that's behind the dialog boxes...

The reason we didn't touched the layout is the the code that makes it working is long and complicated and usual case of many errors.

I strongly agree on your idea.
Some dialogues are too large for a 640x480 display and some are not under ergonomic consideration.
The users might find them difficult to understand or control when there are so many items crowded.

I think we should discuss about this a little more.
