VNC runs fine in a restricted user account, right? (Ctrl-Alt-Del and UAC nothwithstanding.)
Well I just now noticed that LogMeIn will not install at all at a client unless the logged in user is a full administrator!
That stinks.
I guess that's one way they distinguish it from their "Rescue" product?
LogMeIn Free is still miles better than GoToMyPC, but this limitation sounds like a great advertisement for UltraVNC, ChunkVNC, SmartCode, and the rest.

Re: LogMeIn Needs Admin Rights
This is also true of LogMeIn "Ignition" which is supposed to be able to run from a USB thumb drive. It still requires Administrator priviledges, defeating the whole purpose of that product.
Re: LogMeIn Needs Admin Rights
My impression of logmein is that it was designed to be an always on connection, whereas the logmein "rescue" or UVNC SC is something that is designed to allow quick simple user desktop sharing ...
so for a product to be running all the time, even after reboots, personally, i want an admin to approve that ...
as for the ignition side of things ... thats interesting that it also requires admin rights ... never used it, so not sure why this would be the case ...
