Portable version?

Post by Darkstrike »

Hey all,

I've got the last version of UltraVNC 1.0.9.5 on my flash drive as a "portable" application (as in I double click it and it runs off my flash drive on any computer...not sure if it leaves any info behind)....cannot remember for the life of me where I got it from, so I am asking here in case anybody can inadvertently jog my memory:

All that I have on the flash drive is simply "vncviewer.exe," and as I said, it seems to work fine. I've done some searching on the web and found reference to a portable version of UltraVNC that was being worked on by a Ryan fellow ages ago, but nothing referring to new versions of the program.

Could anybody kindly tell me if there are any official or ported versions of the latest versions of UltraVNC or if simply copying "vncviewer.exe" to a flash drive is enough?

Sorry my memory is so bad :P!

Hi,

simply download zip archive of 1.0.9.6 from here: http://www.uvnc.com:8080/downloads/ultr ... -1096.html

- if you only need UltraVNC Viewer, only copy vncviewer.exe to your flash drive

- UltraVNC Server - winvnc.exe - is also portable if you need it, all its settings are written in ultravnc.ini config file

Better use updates, depening on usage 1096 had some bugs.
