password reset by properties dialog

Post by HFat »

Hi folks,

I'm using UVNC in passwordless mode (because I'm only accepting connections from 127.0.0.1 through a tunnel which has its own authentification). Maybe my problem is that I configured it wrong.
Regardless, fiddling with settings in the properties dialog (such as the enabling the video driver which keeps disabling itself somehow) changes the passwd values in ultravnc.ini. I don't see any reason why this should happen so I guess it's a bug. It prevents me from opening a session without modifying ultravnc.ini.

Here's the only way I managed to configure UVNC in passwordless mode:
-set AuthRequired to 0
-removed the values after passwd= and passwd2=

If it's still a problem you could try write-protecting the file.
