Can access at work but not from home - sleep, timeout issue?

I posted in new users section but it seems there isn't much activity there. I have a laptop at work on Win 7. This is what I want to use as a server.

I have a 2nd laptop which goes back and forth with me between work and home. This will be my viewer.

When at work, I can log in with viewer just fine. When at home in the evening, I can't. Ping returns request timed out.

On the laptop server, I set power management option to never sleep when plugged in.

What else am I missing?

Port-forwarding was the answer. Now, most people will humbly say, "Duh," as the port forwarding concept makes sense after you understand how a router works. But if you've never heard of it, that's a different story altogether.

I will +1 on all the comments from people saying that uvnc needs a basic manual.
