Problem Ultra VNC does not let me control remote PC

Post by darkcyber »

I have Ultra VNC running on numerous computers without any problems. I have version 1.0.8.2 server installed on my home pc which is running Windows 7 64 bit. I can access this computer from my office and get logged in and see the desktop, but I can do nothing beyond seeing the desktop. I cannot click on anything or control or do anything. I have checked all the settings and I do not see anything out of place.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can try to get this to work? I am also using 1.0.8.2 to access this pc.

Thanks!

In the server admin settings make sure you set the view only password to something different than the VNC password.

I will check that and see, but I thought I changed that to my own password. I did change the main log in password, that is the password that I use to log into the pc. I set this one up exactly like I have set up all of my other pc's, thus the reason I am confused.

Windows login password isn't relevant here.
This is what I was talking about: [topic=16839][/topic]

Sorry, maybe I didn't state that clearly. That is the password that I set up when I installed UltraVNC. I meant that I changed the password in UltraVNC server is the one I changed to my own password to log into UltraVNC, not my Windows Log On password.

Thanks for the help.
