Was finding the connection over the Internet to be causing me grief (even though both ends have a pretty good service), I had to keep clicking the refresh button to get any screen update. So I changed the viewer QUICK OPTIONS from AUTO to LAN, and it worked perfectly! So I'm thinking I can just set my viewer to LAN, but what if it tries to connect to some other server which has a bad Internet connection, does choosing the LAN option mean that it won't try to step down the connection (like I assume AUTO does) and it simply won't work?
Trying to pick settings on the viewer that will work at their best no matter the circumstance...
I saw the posting at [topic=6429][/topic] (specifically the jerger entry of 2009-12-28 17:04), is this the recommended settings everyone should use, and would it fit the bill for what I'm looking for?
Thanks in advance
James

No I hadn't, I knew about the 1.0.9.5 release from some other post, but since it wasn't in the main download page (go to www.uvnc.com and click on the DOWNLOAD tab), I took it that 1.0.9.5 wasn't really for mainstream use as yet, they still show 1.0.8.x there.

Re: Viewer and changing quick options from auto to ultra to
Sorry, guess I should have phrased my response better, is the 1.0.9.5 release the one that everyone is generally using in non-test environments? Should I be migrating to this?
Why would the 1.0.8.x version still be the one presented on the main http://www.uvnc.com/download/index.html page as opposed to 1.0.9.5?
Cheers
