No Mouse action in Windows 7

Post by jomeir »

Hi all,

When connecting to a Windows 7 machine it successfully connects however there is no mouse control on the viewer side.

To get around this I found that if you open Admin Properties on the Win 7 machine (right-click system tray icon) and then close it the mouse then works on the viewer side.

Has anyone else come across this and is there a fix to get the mouse working as soon as you connect?

Thanks All

hi redge,

unfortunately v1.0.9.4 didn't fix the issue. the same problem still persists as described in original post.

I have also tried it on a different Win7 machine and it doesn't work.

any more ideas as what I can try???

Many thanks

1. How is running ultravnc on win7 ?

Did you see uvnc_service running at the windows task manager tab Processes ?

if yes,
you can connect and input vnc password, then you can't do nothing ?
so your winvnc have wrong setting or bad parameter at vncviewer.

FAQ view only, keyboard locked, no mouse control

Is it running by user request, remote user right click on winvnc add new client ... input your hostname to your vncviewer listening ?

if this case, as soon your partner, open application that need User Account Control (UAC), this lock input vncviewer keyboard but should not stop mouse anyway!

I figured out why my mouse click did not respond, the VNC server was set to "Disable remote input"
