Tray icon pop up "bubbles" don't show on client

Post by mewnlite »

I'm running 1.0.8.2 on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine for a client. Most of the time when I am controlling a host machine I am on the phone with the party at the host site. On some machines the host is seeing bubble notifications above the system tray that I am not seeing. If I roll the mouse over the tray icons, for instance, the host machine can see the descriptions but I cannot. I am fairly certain that this problem doesn't arise when the host machines are XP. I have two Windows 7 machines I access quite often and the problem always exists with those. I have not yet been able to successfully install the hook drivers on a Windows 7 machine but I don't believe that's the problem since I also have the problem accessing Vista hosts. Also, for what it's worth, on the machines I can't see the pop up bubbles, I also cannot get a double arrow on the borders of windows. My cursor looks like an arrow with a little dot at the end. When I get on a border nothing changes but the person at the host machine sees the double arrow. Has anyone else noticed this behavior and if so, is there a cure for it?
Thanks.
