black screen

Post by valso1134 »

Hi, I am having a problem with getting a laptop running xp home to show the screen from standby (all it shows is black until i make the moniter on the laptop come on via moving the mouse) I was wondering if there is a way to fix that? machines running 19.7, does this with both java viewing and UVNC viewer.

Some suggestions are -

dont let your computer go into standby. Change power settings to always on, ensure you use a screen saver or blank the monitor.

If it is in that mode - you cant do anything until you "Wake" it up.. either via lan or keyboard. Check your bios and see if Wake on Lan is enabled or even possible.

hope this helps.
