newbie, have managed to use fastpush to remote install, with MS Logon. I've specified "Domain Admins" as group1. MS Logon apperently works, because I have to use an Admin user/pass to log on at all.
Seems to work fine (little slower than I expected, but maybe I tweak that later)....EXCEPT that I don't really have admin rights on the machine. This is for helpdesk type of operation. All local machines have different "installed administrator" because they were installed at differnet times by different people, so I just want to be able to log on remotely with domain admin rights, and do whatever is necessary on the machine. Is this possible?
(using R18, as it.....as far as I can tell.........is the last stable?)
Thanks,STeve

admin rights?
UltraVNC allows you to remotely control the computer. if you have this set up as a service. log the person out and log in as yourself. If the service is set up properly you should not be disconnected.
If you are running this as an application you are at the mercy of the logged in users rights. UVNC doesnt give you administrative rights on the computer, that is a local computer / domain GPO.
You can always connect to the computer under manage -other computers from your mangment console and set up that specific user as an admin, re-log in and you can do what you need under their profile, then remove it and undo the changes having them reboot/ log off again.

Give them local admin rights is the only other way. e.g. each computer in the administrators group put domain users or whatever group encompasses this. Which if your like me, the thought is they could harm their computer more than help itsteve295 wrote:yes, I had used that (while connected, log them off and log myself on), which worked.......I just assumed there was another way.
Thanks....
