Domain "User" cannot logon UltraVNC through MS Log

Post by joefox853 »

Hi all,

It's my first time here. I've checked the MS Logon, but ONLY Domain Admin accept to logon, even local admin cannot logon. Any idea. Thz.

When you check MS Logon, you also have to configure groups which will be checked. If the user account is a member of one of these groups you should get access.
I can get access and I do not have DomainAdmin rights.

Thanks. Working fine now. But I met a problem during config. The scenario is:

- Some users whose setup before I did the suggested "Group" in default setting can not be update;
- The default setting seems can not override the user setting which "create" before modified default setting; meanwhile, the user setting can not be change by user mode in W2K, so those users can not setup the "Group".
- For the new user who're first time logon to the workstation (means create the user setting refer to default setting), working perfect.

Any comment to remove the "old user" user setting in registry? Thanks anyway.

BTW, I installed Ultr@VNC v1.0.0 RC11d before and do not have "Group" setting. Only available in the UltraVNC-100-RC11d.

Have a look at \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL and \\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ORL.
There is a key \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\WinVNC3\MSLogonRequired (0 or 1) and the groups are in \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\UltraVnc\mslogon.
Could be a problem with access rights that the users cannot change a given setting. Should be changed by a local admin then.
