Installed on Server 2008 with CAD. Have to be logged on....

Post by Uswede »

To whom it may be of interest,

Finally got Ultra NVC 1.0.8.2 running and working on Server 2008 with CTRL+ALT+Del working. For those who want to save the pain, hope this summary helps:

1. Install VNC with
- Install as a service
- Download Vista Addons
- Download Mirror Driver
- Select "UltraVNC Server driver install"

2. Edit the server policy and set "local computer policy-Computer Configuration-Administrative Templates-Windows Logon Options/Secure Attention Sequence (SAS)" to "Enable Ease of Access Applications"

Tested to work on multiple platforms.

but...a user has to be logged on in order for UVNC to control desktop 0. Ok, I can have a script to add the reg autologon Winlogon entries when you reboot (then remove the entries as soon as you get back on). But this is not the best so....

... anybody know if we will ever get a version that allows you to connect without a user being logged on first?'
Cheers,

Uswede
